p4: career and study options flow diagram
After Long Road, I plan to study Art at either a foundation level followed by an Art degree or either an Art foundation followed by a graphic design degree or something similar. I plan to apply for work experience whilst at university in a similar field to allow me to get experience in the field.
After university, i plan to do teacher training course in order to become an art teacher. This would allow me to use my art degree post university graduation.
Short term, medium and long term options: For my options post Sixth form, my short term i would carry on studying and may go to university or apply for an apprenticeship, medium term option being, applying for an apprenticeship/ work experience or teacher training and a long term option being work experience and finding a full time job in the industry.
My plan for future work is due to the shortage of contacts i have in the teaching industry, resources such as most of my resources being based around the film industry but not the art industry. apart from my Art foundation course, my resources for becoming an art teacher and working in the Art industry is very limited.
contingency plan: My contingency plan for working in the teaching industry is that to study an Art Foundation course, study an art degree at University post Sixth form and then carry on to doing a teacher training course post uni graduation. This all leads to my contingency plan of becoming an Art teacher in the teaching industry in the future.
addressing my skills and resources audit:
For my future goals, the resources i need include contacts within the teaching or art industry. This could be improved by simply getting work experience or an apprenticeship in the industry to gain contacts and allow me to get more experience in the field. I would also need a good portfolio to show employers in the future for interviews. Studio space and funding would also be an important factor in getting me to where i want to be in the future as if a great amount of funding is given to me this would allow me to get the studio space needed and the equipment i need to produce a good portfolio and some good work. Experience would also come under creating a good portfolio however, my Art Foundation at Long Road would allow me to gain the experience i need due to me doing a range of tasks and topics that would allow me to learn and gain the experience that would be valuable in the future.

Personal Website:

Show reel:

for the showreel, the first short film 'Merriweather academy' was the first project created at Long Road and was based around the theme of 'super powers' at a superhero college. The second and last film is a documentary that was also produced at Long Road as part of a project which was given as a brief of 'documentary' this documentary is based around an artist and sculpturist who lives on the outskirts of Cambridge. The last footage shows a music video that was also produced around college given to us as a media project In this, we were given the artist and the song in which we had to create a music video for and then we had to create a basis for a music video. The artist and song we were given was Gavin Chappel Bates - Follow the light

P3: Personal resources audit
Strength and weaknesses analysis:
The strengths to my personal resources is that i have a range of personal resources available to me however, my weaknesses is that i don't use these opportunities i.e there are a range of different competitions that i could enter my films into however, apart from my documentary in which my team mate entered into the BFI, i should use these as a chance to get more recognition.
Also, with all these opportunities to hire and be loaned some filing equipment, i could take this as an opportunity to film some more footage and make another film/ documentary along with all these contacts i have as friends and family, i could use these contacts to shoot another film.
All the things i still need:
The things i still require to get into the industry a few years down the line include:

The things i still require to get into the industry a few years down the line include:
- A better portfolio - This i will get from doing the Art Foundation course at Long Road as a third year.
- Funding - This i can get from creating a Kickstarter or Indiegogo page to get people to invest into getting a better range of experience i.e making new art or films that will help me to progress into the field.
- Studio Space - This i will require to create new art work and to allow me to get my work noticed later down the line.
- Experience - I will get this from having all of the above : Funding and studio space. I will be able to get a better range of experience from doing the Art Foundation at Long Road to let me experiment with a different variety of Art processes and Art work.
